Where does it say that legally a tourist Mexican citizen may drive in Texas with a Mexico drivers license? - tourist visa drivers license
I am a citizen of the United Mexican States to visit a valid driver's license in Mexico. In a tourist visa. Visit. For a few days. Recently, I received a letter from a soldier, "said no driver's license. Then, thousands of visitors pass illegal Mexicans in Texas, then, yes?
Whatever the answer I want to know "where it says that" certain laws (state? Federal Republic?) Behind him.

It is a widespread problem. Many police officers do not know that the United States recognizes licenses for foreign visitors. However, it is easy to get the ticket dismissed by the courts. That is the law:
Acts 1995, 74 Leg., Chap. 165, ch. 1, eff. 1. September 1995.
521.030 seconds. Reciprocal licensing. (a) is not resident for 18 years or more and the person holds a license for a person by the state of the person or country of residence, which is issued to a Class A or Class B Driving similar card issued under this chapter is not required to have a license Class A or Class B license under this chapter if that state or country of residence has been approved a license issued by this state and exempts the holder of a license from the state or country been issued.

I think the answer is that a license of Mexico is rarely asked question in any other place in the U.S., but technically the license of Mexico is not enough. The holders of foreign licenses are not written in English must be translated into English an international driver's license for a police officer easier to verify the information. The international driver's license in your case, is issued by the Mexican government and is easy to get, before crossing the United States.
I think the officer who arrested him had a bad day, because almost nobody bothers a license issued in Mexico and Texas, I'm sure you've seen before, but technically, it should be international driver's license.
Congratulations to add here legally! You are one in 14 million. Your license valid in Mexico is good in all 50 states. The cop was wrong. Skip to local prosecutors and unloading.
Those who say you need a permit Internationl is simply false. You do not need. Not a good idea to have, but certainly not necessary. They are only for the translation and not have a license anyway. The font is probably "tired" of Mexicans in general and Mexicans who are here illegally and those who are sucking our Resorces brag that only citizens have the right to speak Spanish in an English speaking country usually takes unfair advantage us. Since he did not read the license, you probably thought that "the H *** with him, I give this type of ticket.
My opinion is that if you have a valid DL in his country should be honored in the United States. I have no documentation, but I've always understood. I know that if I drive to Mexico (I will not, because I saw the pilot Purto Vallarta and Mazatlan), my DL is valid here.
In the next sentence, which enables him to drive in Mexico.

Have you seen how you drive in Texas (South Texas). Nobody has a license!
